The True Joy in Life #1976

In our last +1, we talked about the three protocols we’re going to help you define and dominate in our Heroic Elite training.

We have the “Bubble Wrap” where you live in a perfectly hermetically sealed container and everything goes perfectly.

Which…

Essentially…

Never happens.

We MUST have the Wisdom to know that life is to be lived at ELITE levels “Out in the Wild.”

We quit being foolish (the opposite of wise!) perfectionists and embrace the constraints of reality.

We take the time to craft a realistic yet demanding protocol, then we have the discipline to dominate it.

Then we have the “Paying the Price” protocol where life is REALLY happening and we need to hold on tight and do our best to control the controllables, knowing we’re deliberately pushing ourselves.

It’s the integration of the three of THOSE protocols that allows us to find an edge and give the world all we’ve got.

In our last +1, I promised to share George Bernard Shaw’s Heroically Elite (!) wisdom. Here it is.

“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
