Welcome to Objective IV. We know the ultimate game we’re playing. We’re forging antifragile confidence and we’re optimizing our Energy, Work, and Love.

Now, it’s time to seize the day as we systematically architect our Masterpiece Days.

Before we go any further, let’s summarize this objective in three simple words. We’ll bring back the all caps and all bold so we don’t miss it.

Here it is…

TODAY’S THE DAY!!!

I repeat: TODAY’S the Day to move from Theory to Practice to Mastery, Hero!

It’s simple: If we want to make our LIVES a masterpiece, we need to make TODAY a masterpiece.

My intention with this objective is two-fold. First, I want you to really get the fact that TODAY is, in fact, the day to give us all you’ve got. Second, I want to help you get really good at making today awesome.

Before we get to work, here’s a quick little thought exercise to make the point…

In Die Empty, Todd Henry tells us to imagine that from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep we have a reporter following us around taking notes on every little thing we do. After tracking our behavior for the day, the reporter goes off and writes a report describing what we did, when, how, etc.

That little report they create will serve as the summary of our entire lives—which is a pretty good incentive to make today the day to live our deepest values, eh?

And…

Guess what?

That reporter is there every day.

Let’s make them proud.

Today.
