Each day, we’ll explore legendary sites that echo Stoic ideals and timeless truths, from the inspiring Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, where philosophers once shaped virtue and courage, to the mighty Colosseum and the Pantheon. Our enriched five-day Rome itinerary will integrate movement, meditation, programming, guest luminaries, and a focus on ancient wisdom to create a journey of both discovery and reflection.

With Brian, Michael, and special luminary guests, we’ll explore the heart of Rome, a city that has stood as a testament to resilience, wisdom, and philosophical pursuit for millennia.

We’ll explore ancient sites that echo Stoic ideals, such as the Roman Forum, where philosophers and leaders once gathered to debate and explore the nature of virtue, courage, and reason.

We’ll climb Palatine Hill, with the ruins of the imperial palace, imagining the life of Marcus Aurelius as he balanced the demands of leadership with his commitment to Stoic thought.

We’ll reflect on mortality and inner strength as we explore the Colosseum, an architectural marvel that hosted displays of resilience and courage above (and below!) the ground.

We’ll tour the famous Pantheon, a masterpiece of design representing unity and harmony within the cosmos.

We’ll people watch on The Spanish Steps, toss coins into Rome’s famous Trevi Fountain, and feast on Italian flavors in the lively Piazza Navona, taking in the artists, street performers and beautiful fountains, like Bernini’s famous Fountain of the Four Rivers.

We’ll lean into memento mori as we visit Rome’s ancient underground Catacombs, with miles of burial tunnels and chapels.

We’ll visit sites like Capitoline Hill, where the statue of Marcus Aurelius stands as a testament to Stoic virtues like wisdom, patience, and civic duty.

Throughout our days in Rome, we’ll take time to immerse ourselves in intentional daily practice — movement, meditation, reflection, inspiration, wisdom, brand new Heroic content— forging excellence individually and as a group as we string Masterpiece Days together.

What's the cancellation/refund policy?

Before July 1st: 100% refund
July 2nd - August 31st: 50% refund
September 1st - November 3rd: There are no refunds, but tickets can be transferred to another person. No exceptions will be granted, as Heroic will be held responsible for ticket prices and accommodations at this point.
We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip cancellation insurance early to protect yourself as we cannot make exceptions to this policy.
Please note space is limited and we expect to sell out this event.
Heroic reserves the right to dismiss a participant from the event at any time. Participants asked to leave the event will qualify for a partial refund if deemed necessary.

Which historic sites will we be visiting?

We’re still confirming our exact itinerary, but you can expect to see the most popular sites in Rome.

Is there a Heroic Team Spartan Race included?

We’re not formally including a Spartan Race in our itinerary this time.

Where will we be staying?

We are finalizing our venue. Accommodation included is a four-star or better location. If you require your own accommodation (single occupancy) there is an additional $500 charge. Your price includes double occupancy and does not change if you choose to stay elsewhere.

What is the dress code?

We’re a casual crowd, wear what makes you feel your best and be prepared to be indoors and outdoors on any day, and to get your steps in! We’ll be hooking you up with Heroic gear, so don’t over-pack.

Will there be free time to explore on our own?

Yes, there will be some free time built into the schedule for you to explore Rome at your own pace or rest.

Is travel insurance required?

Travel insurance is not required but highly recommended to cover any unexpected situations such as medical emergencies or trip cancellations.

What languages will the training and tours be conducted in?

The training and tours will be conducted in English.

Are kids allowed?

Yes! Heroic kids and families are always welcome; everyone attending will require a ticket to join us.

This event is NOT “just” for Coaches or Workshop Instructors.

In fact, this is NOT a Heroic Workshop Instructor Training event. This is the Heroic Rome Experience. Heroic Workshop Instructor Training events occur at different times throughout the year.

It’s also for high-performers in all professions who are looking to take their personal and professional performance to the next level.

What is the workshop training?

The workshop training is designed to be a transformational personal development experience. It also empowers participants with a framework to create a business around being a workshop instructor.

How does the workshop training serve my personal development?

The training aims to provide a comprehensive experience that includes both personal growth and practical skills. Participants will gain insights into Heroic's methodologies and learn how to apply them in their personal and professional lives.

Do I have to be a certified Heroic coach to attend the workshop training?

No, you do not need to be a certified Heroic coach to attend the workshop training.

How is the workshop training different from being a Heroic ambassador?

The workshop training focuses on providing in-depth skills and knowledge to become a workshop instructor, whereas being a Heroic ambassador involves promoting Heroic values and programs more broadly without the structured training component.

Heroic provides branding support, guidance on starting and running workshops, and ongoing assistance for any questions or challenges that arise after the training.

How can I use the workshop training if I do not have an existing coaching business? Is it going to be possible?

Yes, the workshop training is designed to be accessible and beneficial even for those without an existing coaching business. It provides the foundational skills needed to start a coaching or workshop practice.

How does the workshop training support my existing coaching business?

The training enhances your coaching skills, provides new methodologies to integrate into your practice, and offers networking opportunities with other professionals.

What are the steps and requirements to become a certified workshop instructor after the training?

Details on the certification process will be provided during the training, including any assessments or additional requirements needed to achieve certification.

Participants will engage in roughly 20 hours of instruction in both large and small group settings, guided by experienced facilitators. The training will include practical exercises and opportunities to practice presentation skills.

The training includes practical sessions where participants can present and receive feedback, helping to build confidence and proficiency in delivering workshops.

What does the workshop training empower me to actually do after we leave?

Participants will be equipped to conduct their own workshops, apply Heroic principles in various settings, and continue developing their skills with ongoing support from Heroic.

What all will I receive as a workshop instructor training attendee?

Attendees will receive professional headshots, marketing materials, a facilitator’s playbook, entrance to historic sites, transportation for group activities, lunches, at least one dinner, exclusive Heroic gear, and ongoing support. Please see the full list above!

What’s the schedule?

We’ll share more details about the schedule in the coming weeks as we finalize our itinerary.

You can expect our official programming will kick off in the morning of Monday, Nov 4th (likely around 10am local time), and end late-afternoon Saturday Nov 9th (by 3pm local time).

Our time together will be equal parts Heroic Workshop Instructor Training (roughly 20 hours of instruction in both large and small group settings) and exploring Athens together (including guided tours, special events, and access to some off-the-beaten-path wonders, curated by Donald Robertson!).

Where is the event being held?

Our home base for the event will be in a hotel/ conference centre near the city centre of Athens.

Is there a room discount?

As soon as we finalize our venue partnership we’ll be sending all attendees a link to get discounted rooms. You can expect rooms to be under $250 Euros/night (and we’ll help connect those looking to share).

What's the cancellation/refund policy?

July 1st - 31st: 75% refund

August 1st -31st: 50% refund

September 1st - Nov 4th: No refunds, ticket transferred to another person or to our Spring 2025 event (USA), with any difference in price being refunded.

Are there any materials to prepare in advance for the training?

Yes, we will be sending out a list of recommended readings, practices, materials and live calls in Sept/ Oct. You can expect to get schedules and more information about pre-event preparation by August.

Will there be any follow-up activities or support after the event?

Yes, we’re excited to provide ongoing support and follow-up activities after the event to help you implement what you’ve learned and continue your development as a workshop instructor.

How can I stay updated with any changes or announcements before and during the event?

We will be emailing attendees + using a dedicated event profile in Heroic Social to keep you updated with any changes or announcements. We’ll also likely create a group WhatsApp and have a webpage you can visit with all the latest event-related info.
