I wanted to take a quick moment today to share an inspiring little video from Marcus Freeman, the Head Football Coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. 🏈☘️
Marcus is a Philosopher-Coach and that video is incredible.
Hopefully it inspires you to think about how you can show up as the best version of YOU, TODAY, while surrounded by friends and family, as well as tomorrow, and next week, and next year, and in your life…
No matter WHAT position or role you’re blessed to play.
Now…
As some of you know, the Irish are preparing for the next round of the College Football Playoffs against the Georgia Bulldogs exactly one week from Today, on Jan 1.

We were blessed to serve Coach Freeman and his Notre Dame football team literally DAY 1 of their preseason this year.
As Brian recently shared:
"The players were incredible. Humble. Committed. Coachable. Absolutely committed to excellence."
And…
In a recent press conference, one of the reporters asked Coach about what Heroic concepts the team has drawn on throughout the season.
Reporter: "It goes back a few months, but some of the players remember well when you had Brian Johnson come in to speak to the team. This is a guy who travels all around the world who speaks and motivates. What are some of the aspects of that talk about heroic potential that you still draw on, that your team might still draw on, and do you stay in touch with him?"
Marcus Freeman: “I haven't talked to him too much as the season — I don’t talk too much to really anybody as the season goes on, but I was introduced to Brian through General [Bryan] Fenton, who's a Notre Dame grad. I don’t bring in many speakers to speak to our team, but he was a guy that we did bring in and, basically [he said] how do you become the best version of you, and different things that help you as an individual, have the right mindset each day. And so he came and spent some time with our players. We had his Heroic book. But again, we're always looking for ways to improve as an individual.The only thing I can control first is being the best version of me. I can't worry about being the best head coach right now. I’ve got to be the best version of me, which is going to make me the best head coach I can be. It's the same thing with our players and our coaches. Don't worry about being the best at your position right now. You’ve got to be the best version of you, which is going to make you the best at your position.”
Know what happens when you do that, and focus on executing the things that help you be your best day in and day out?!
You compete for championships.

"The only thing you can control first is being the best version of you… You’ve got to be the best version of you."
