These principles guide how we perform, hire, coach, celebrate, collaborate, and empower. We don’t always get them perfectly, but we live from them, learn from them, and continuously level up, together.

Honor Your Energy

Energy is the foundation of performance and Zest is the #1 predictor of wellbeing. We invest in the fundamentals: eating, moving, sleeping, breathing, and focusing. When we’re aware our energy is off, we acknowledge it, communicate it, and recharge.

Excellence in honoring your energy looks like: you’re consistent with your personal sleep, movement, nutrition, and focus protocols; you’re disciplined about oscillating and recharging; you speak up when your energy is low or you’re at capacity; you don’t let low energy spill onto others; you ask for help when you need it.

Have Fun

We blur the lines between work and play. Our joy, laughter, and lightness reflect our enthusiasm for the work and the deep flourishing we feel from moving it forward. When the joy gets lost, we find it.

Action turns ideas into impact. At Heroic, we move fast, focused, and forward. It’s how we build momentum and deliver results for our customers, our teammates, and our mission.

Speed is a competitive advantage, which is why we close the gap between decision and action. We choose progress over perfection and build momentum through execution.

Excellence in getting in motion looks like: you make decisions with 40-70% information; you close the gap between decision and execution; you choose forward motion over perfection; you avoid procrastinating and paralysis; you move through fear with courage.

Finish Strong

Starting is important, but finishing is everything. We push through resistance, go under, around, and through every challenge, and accelerate into the close.

Excellence in finishing strong looks like: you finish; you don’t leave loose ends; you go through as many iterations as it takes to deliver complete, customer-ready outcomes.


GROWTH

We love the fact that we haven’t arrived, and never will. Growth is infinite, and that’s fun. We constantly stretch ourselves just beyond our current comfort zone, and use unactualized potential as fuel.
